April 15, 2009

Dear Pieter:

My wife and I wish to thank you for the wonderful safari adventure we just completed with African Days. We were accompanied on this trip by our best friends, John and Sarah Olman.

The entire experience of booking through you and Elaine Portius of African Odyssey Travel was complete and trouble free. Our travel arrangements came off without a hitch to the planned itinerary. We are especially grateful for your time and patience with us in answering every question that we could come up with as first time travelers to Namibia.

Our safari started with pick up at the Windhoek airport by our PH, Etinne Langeveldt. He was there when we landed and helped us through the firearms registration process and into his vehicle. He then drove us to our overnight accommodations in Windhoek. They were first class. We had the pleasure of finding the Southern Cross in the sky while downing a couple of adult beverages.

The next day, Etienne and his trackers picked us up at our guest house accommodations and drove us up to the northern part of Namibia to stay at the Ohange Lodge. The lodge and surrounding grounds were beautiful and the evening meals were spectacular. Karla and Justus, the owners of Ohange, were extremely friendly and ran a first class operation.

While at Ohange Lodge, I managed to collect a first class kudu bull. Please see the photograph. It is a real trophy.

During this part of our trip, my wife and Sarah met up with Jaco of Safari Days for a 3 day side trip to Etosha National Park and some of the native villages in the area. They had a great time. Sarah and Renee took over 600 pictures of the wildlife in the park and the surrounding area. They experienced nothing but warm and friendly people while on this trip within a trip.

About halfway into our safari, we changed camps to central Namibia and stayed at the Yakandonga Lodge. The lodge owners, Henry and Yolandi, have built a truly marvelous lodge. The accommodations and grounds are 5 star quality. The food and service were truly outstanding. I especially liked Henry coming around for our early morning wake-up call followed by hot coffee at the cabana. From there, we sojourned by Etienne's truck to find the game we were after: Gemsbok, Blue Wildebeest, Mountain Zebra and Warthog. We hunted the ranch grounds of Yakandonga and several surrounding ranches in the area. The scenery and abundance of game was truly awe inspiring. In a normal day, we would see between 30 to 50 head of wild life and sometimes even more! The bird life was everywhere.

While at Yakandonga Lodge, my friend, John collected his Warthog, Blue Wildebeest and Gemsbok. I was lucky enough to harvest a Mountain Zebra, Gemsbok and Blue Wildebeest. Through all of this, Etienne, his assistant PH - Michael, and the two trackers - Marcus and Hendrick worked tirelessly to ensure we had the best opportunities possible for getting trophy quality animals. Henry, the owner of Yakandonga Lodge accompanied us every day and worked just as hard as Etienne and his team to ensure our hunting success.

After completion of our safari, Etienne drove us back to Windhoek and arranged for our overnight accommodations ahead of our next day flight out. He picked us up at the guest host and personally saw us through airport check in and firearms declarations. He made sure we were well taken care of for our entire adventure in Namibia - from first arrival to our walking through security to our departure gate.

Again, thank you for a first class adventure. We are already talking about when we will schedule a return visit to Namibia as it is one of the last true Eden's of planet Earth.

Dear Pieter,

It's been too long since I last communicated with you. I have meant to get this letter out to you for some time. Hopefully, better late than never.

I was just reflecting on my African adventure from last summer and decided that it was high time that I get a letter over to you expressing my gratitude. I had the time of my life. Please feel free to use me as a reference if you'd like. I would be happy to share my experiences with others. Namibia is a magnificent country with such great natural beauty. It's hard to explain the feelings and the excitement that one feels when he or she experiences Africa.

To your prospective clients, I would like them all to know that I was 100% satisfied with my hunt and all of the other aspects of the trip. There are several topics that I'd like to touch upon since I experienced them first hand.

1) Accommodations: I would rate them as first class. His camps have 5 star ratings if I'm not mistaken. You are comfortable and will have no problems. Whether it was the camps themselves, or the hunting blinds, or even the lodging when you were in transition, everything was beyond my expectations. It was excellent throughout the entire trip.

2) Food: This matched the accommodations. Great lunches were packed for the day of hunting. The breakfasts were made to order. I did not know if I'd enjoy the African cuisine when I set out on this trip. To my pleasant surprise, one night's supper was better than the last. If you're like me, you'll gain a few pounds! I wish I had access to their recipes.

3) Staff - My PH was Pieter Stofberg and I met others. They were professional, understanding, knowledgeable, and very helpful. This old dog actually learned a few new hunting tricks when I was there. My tracker was not only polite but he busted his butt daily to make sure that I was comfortable and taken care of. His tracking skills were second to none. It was uncanny how good their eyes were. The staff spots 95% or more of all the game that is spotted. The cooks and camp staff are there for you. You will actually be spoiled. I did not want to go home at the end of the trip. You are pampered.

4) Affordability: Our dollar is strong in Namibia and it helps to make this hunt very affordable, considering the animals you'll be harvesting, the accommodations, the superb vehicles that are provided, and the constant attention given by the PH and his entire staff. This hunt is an absolute bargain. I went through life dreaming of an African adventure thinking that if someday I won the lottery that I would go. Then I put a pencil to the costs and discovered that an African safari is really no more than a guided one-week elk hunt in our western states. I'm not knocking our elk hunts, but people should realize that Africa is not just a rich man's hunt. It is very affordable and within the reach of the average working man or woman. The actual African hunt, plus the adventure and scenery that goes along with a trip to Africa, is within your reach if you decide that all of this is for you.

5) Safe: I have heard from others, that were considering an African trip, that they feared for their safety. Not once during the travel through the airports or out in the bush did I feel threatened. The PH makes your safety a priority. I would tell you that you do not have to have any major concerns about this. I found the people of Namibia to be very friendly.

6) Animals: In a days hunt you could literally see hundreds, possibly thousands, of animals - everything from elands, zebra, wildebeest, hartebeest, giraffe, gemsbok, warthog, impala, kudu, elephant, or rhino, to mention just a few. It's incredible! The hunting is so good, but seeing all of these animals keeps both the hunter and the observer busy. When you return to the States it makes sitting back in your deer stand kind of plain. Then there is the quality of the animals you actually hunt. The PH will work relentlessly to make sure you get a true trophy. Namibia has magnificent animals. Their Gemsbok are the biggest in the world. You'll be real happy with your trophy potential here whether it's with a gun or a bow.

I could go on and on but it should suffice to say that this will be a hunt that you won't soon forget. It gets in your blood. I am already counting the days until I can go back. I've said to everyone that wants to listen that this trip is so much more than just a hunt. It is a true adventure in every sense of the word. Plan on taking your wife or children. You'll enjoy their company and African Days will accommodate their needs as well. This is a trip you'll want to share with them.

So Pieter - Thanks again for a great trip and I will be back as soon as possible.

Seeing in Color
By: Brittany Jerlinga

I have been to Montana, where the skies are rich with blue during the day, and drip with stars at night….

I have been to Maine where the crispness of the air soothes the soul, and appearances by majestic sea mammals are common, graceful and breathtaking…

I have been to Tennessee where smiles are permanent fixtures on every face, where both good humor and hospitality run more rampant than racing horses…

I have seen mountains shrouded in fog, heard the haunting early morning cries of the loon, and have been enveloped by the fresh green scent of redwood forests….

I have even seen the heather-covered highlands of Scotland, and felt the raw power of Canada's Niagara Falls….

Still, all of these places pale in comparison to one place: Namibia, Africa.

In Namibia, the sky is so saturated with stars and color that, along with your feet, time stands still. All other thought crumble to stardust…

The sky here is alive. Meteors dart and fly like fireworks every night, constellations wink and sparkle in greeting and the Milky Way arches across the sky, from horizon to horizon, blazing in glory.

Worries, stress, anxiety and frustration melt into the rising sun, as honey hued rays warm the earth, leaving hearts full and minds clear…

True, in the middle of Namibia you will not witness the ballet of dolphins, but what you will experience is even more incredible.

Kudus showcase their elegance and regally curling horns by leaping effortlessly through the rocky terrain. Contemplative Giraffes rise from the thorny bushes, wraithlike, and pierce the skyline.

Zebras, with their sublime camouflage, appear and disappear suddenly, as the bicker and play.

Springbok demonstrate their scorn for gravity, Baboons beckon from a distance, and small families of Warthog run in synch, tails straight up in the air like radio antennas.

This is a mere snapshot of the animal life here. The bizarre, rocking horse canter of the Hartebeest, the power of the Gemsbok and the nightly gibberish of the rock Hyrax are things that can only be experienced, not explained.

The people of Namibia, particularly the staff of African Days (Namibia), are no less incredible themselves. I was treated like an important person, even though I was an observer on this hunt. I was catered to, educated and provided with every service I needed. My laundry was freshly washed and pressed, meals were made three times a day by a man jollier than St. Nick, and before the words "Can I get a reading lamp?" exited my mouth, I had one.

Even the secretary went an extra mile (or kilometer!) … She not only showed me Windhoek, the capitol, and helped me barter for souvenirs, but made sure my stay was luxurious. She opened her home to me and, instead of just letting me use her shower, she fixed me a bath that swirled with rose petals and was illuminated by candle light. In my room, I found chocolate on my pillow and a bed already warmed.

I was constantly asked if everything was to my liking - if I needed a beverage, if there was anything I wanted to see or do. Without delay any suggestion I made was turned into reality.

Furthermore, with the quiet guidance of our professional hunter, Etienne, my father was able to get every animal on his list. Our trackers amazed us both with their extraordinary eyes, kindness and good humor. At all times, my father and I felt that we were in good hands. Even when the Baboons were screaming their defiance, we felt safe. With the help of African Days (Namibia), my father was able to make a lifelong dream of his come true, and I got to experience things few 21-year-old lasses from the Midwest even dream of…

Being in Namibia was like seeing in color for the first time. I had no radio, no television and no childhood friends to keep me company. Instead, I enjoyed watching the " Bushman's TV (the campfire, of course), listened to the Go-Away bird's cry, bonded with my father and made friends I hope to keep for a very long time. I saw what life could be like and realized what the important things in life really were. I woke up…

I would highly recommend African Days (Namibia) and the country itself to anyone who desires to experience Africa. No matter how big the dream, or how small the pocketbook, African Days (Namibia) can turn your visions of Africa into fond memories.

Today, I have only one desire left - the desire to go back…

With regards,
Brittany Jerlinga

To Whom It May Concern:

I have hunted with Pieter on three occasions, the first in 2001 and again in 2003 and 2004. I can say with absolute confidence that you can't go wrong booking with African Days (Namibia).

Pieter is a quality person with very high ethics. I consider him not only a great PH, but a close personal friend.

African Days (Namibia) has a very competent staff, which truly cares about your wellbeing. The accommodations are first class by anyone's standards.

The country is very safe. My wife and I hunted together in '03 and in '04 I had absolutely no hesitation in taking my 15-year-old son with me.

The game was abundant and we saw dozens (if not hundreds) of animals of various species every day.

Over the three safaris I have spend 40 days + with African Days (Namibia). Never once did a problem arise that they were not prepared to handle.

I would not hesitate to recommend African Days (Namibia) to anyone.

Hello Pieter,

I have been putting this off too long and I apologize for not being timely with my thanks for a wonderful African experience. I have been to a few lodges, some in the USA, Mexico , South Africa and Argentina . Fortunately all were very clean and comfortable much like African Days and all had extremely friendly staff. However, I only remember one or two where the outfitter made us feel like we were the only clients he had, much like you did during our stay.

Then there was Etienne our P.H., professional is understatement when it comes to his performance. He worked hard for us and did it with total enthusiasm. I learned a lot in those eight days and it was not only in regards to hunting. I look forward to hunting with him in the future.

In closing I can assure you if I am fortunate enough to hunt in Africa a third time my trip will definitely be planned through African Days! Pleasant and clean lodging, friendly staff, exceptional P.H. and outfitter and Pieter's own special reserve red wine! All of that and hundreds of high quality animals viewed every day.

Thank you for the hunt of a lifetime!

Fellow Hunters,

I highly endorse this Safari Outfitter.

His staff, trophy animals, equipment and accommodations are all World Class. I have hunted with many outfitters in many different lands and this one is the best.

They are hunter's hunters, knowing just what to do to get you the best trophies in Africa.

They see to your every need from the time your plane hits the tarmac in Windhoek till you leave again. " No worries" found here!

I have hunted with Pieter for the past two years and have already booked for next year. I just can't get enough of this wonderful land.

Dear Friend,

If you are considering an African plains game safari, you need not look any farther than African Days (Namibia). My situation was perhaps unusual, I booked a hunt with Pieter in 2003. Money was put down for a hunt mid June 2004, my wife and daughter were going to go with me. January 2004 my wife left me, my life was in turmoil, my attorney told me I should go on safari to ease my pain. He could not have been more been correct

Africa has always been a dream, but the divorce clouds over my head made me think my dream could be spoiled. Pieter and his staff knew about my concerns and they treated my daughter and me beyond our expectations. Every night Pieter asked me how I was doing, he asked my daughter how she was doing.

Ron Myburgh, Pieter's personal secretary took my daughter out several times, they are now the best of friends. She treated my daughter with respect, tenderness and friendship.

One day I asked Pieter if Africa had Tabasco sauce, I like it on my eggs. The next day I saw three bottles of different varieties of Tabasco on the table. Such was the service rendered. I asked for my favorite Scotch, Pieter delivered.

My professional hunter was Etienne Langeveldt. He was so patient and so very nice to my daughter and me. When you spend two weeks with someone you really get to know them, not only has Etienne impressed me with his skill as a professional hunter, his attitude and kindness has made us best friends. I would trust my life to this professional - what greater comment could I make?

I turned a dream into lasting memories and cemented a bond with my daughter forever. The food was excellent; the cook greeted me every morning with a smile and a hot mug of coffee. The truck was clean, the cooler was filled with soft drinks and the trackers greeted me with a smile and a "good morning!" Hunting was excellent. Not only did I get five excellent trophies (three in the world's top 40 ever), I felt no pressure to shoot. They helped me get good shots, I took them and scored five one-shot kills!

My trophies were handled with respect; every photo was well composed with no blood or conflicting backgrounds seen. These people are great.

I could expound for pages on the great satisfaction these people provided me. Every promise was kept, everyone was beyond nice, the room was immaculate, the service was great, the hunting wonderful, the people were caring and made me forget my divorce issues back home. Most importantly, my daughter and I are now closer than we have been ever been. Not only was the safari a GREAT ESCAPE, it helped me bond and unite with my daughter during a most difficult time of life.

This trip was the best - the last night in Namibia my daughter asked me in a little-girl voice: " Daddy, can you bring me back someday soon?" What greater testimony could be rendered?

What's your excuse for not going? Call Pieter and set the dates - life is too short - follow your dreams!!

African Days (Namibia) is the best!!

Dr. Gregory B. Jerlinga

Fellow Africa Hunters,

Allow me to say, without reservation or hesitation, you will have made an excellent choice when you book with Pieter Stofberg and African Days (Namibia).

I was guided by the fantastic and professional hunter, Etienne Langeveldt. Etienne understood my abilities and expectations and delivered a GREAT experience for my first African safari. (I am already planning future hunts with Pieter and African Days (Namibia) ). The number of great trophy animals I saw on my 12 day hunt was absolutely astounding and Etienne was able to put me on some of the very best. As his title indicates, Etienne is a true professional.

The trackers were a delight to be around, always a friendly smile and eager to help in any way that was needed. The cook, as well as the meals, were terrific - plenty of great tasting food, especially the scratch made bread.

The camp facilities and equipment were first rate and I understand that they have been further upgraded since my trip. I can't wait to see how they have improved them.

The entire experience with this team has been truly remarkable - from the planning to the field photos, to the utmost care for the trophies. A FIRST CLASS OPERATION!

Hope to see you around the campfire.

To the Staff of African Days:

This letter is to thank all the members of the African Days Safari Team.

My wife, Kathryn, and I had no idea what to expect when we booked our first Guided Safari. Our outfitter Pieter Stofberg and his wonderful assistant Ron helped ease our anxiety's as we finalized every detail of our trip. When we arrived in the wonderful African country of Namibia, it was everything we expected. Wide open spaces, views for miles and a welcome greeting from all the people. The lodge and accommodations were set as far in the African wilderness as one could imagine, yet with the amenities of an island resort.

Our P.H. Etienne Langeveld and his professional trackers (Markus & Hendrik) encouraged us to relax after the long journey and spend the day acclimating to the surroundings and viewing all the amazing wildlife. I would expect that we saw not less than 200 animals and over a dozen species our first day.

My wife Kathryn had some uncertainty about having the ability to hunt at a level needed for safari. Our P.H. Etienne spent time with us at their rifle range and assured her with her gun handling skills that she was up to the challenge. All of our trophy's collected were of book quality. The photos and care for the animals was second to none.

Our side trip taken to Etosha Pan, Southern Africa's largest game park with our P.H. Etienne will leave us with a lifetime of memories permanently etched in our minds.

Once again our thanks to everyone at African Days for making our dreams come true.

Sincerely,
Jeff and Kathryn Hendzel

Dear Fellow Hunters,

I hunted with African Days (Namibia) in May, 2004. It was my first trip to Namibia, but my fifth trip to Africa in the last three years.

I had an outstanding time. Pieter Stofberg, owner and my PH for this trip, was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Staff was friendly from early morning coffee at wake up call, to the excellent laundry service and then those wonderful evening dinners when tales were told and Pieter's funny stories brought amusement.

Accommodations were outstanding. Everything was new and 5 star. Details were well thought out and a particular highlight for me was the setting where various animals came in to the waterhole near the camp at night to drink. As they progressed toward the waterhole, lighting cast their shadows on a large rock background, which highly magnified their size.

For game quality and numbers, on all my trips to Africa, I saw by far the largest number of Kudu and Gemsbok. Springbok, Duiker and Steenbok were in good numbers and Pieter did not hesitate to drive me over 6 hours each way just to take a Dik-Dik for my collection.

African Days (Namibia) staff did an excellent job getting my full mount trophies ready for the taxidermist and within a couple of short months, I received an e-mail from the taxidermist stating that the trophies were ready for shipment.

From the arrival at Windhoek, when Pieter met me and we eased quickly through customs, until I was on the plane headed for RSA and the second part of this summer's safari, everything went smooth. I have wonderful memories of my time spent with African Days (Namibia) and highly endorse this outfitter.

Pieter,

I am writing this letter to thank you for helping me fulfill a dream of a lifetime.

As you know, I was originally booked on this hunt with my father in law, who has been my hunting partner on numerous trips around the US and Canada. Unfortunately for him, but fortunately for my wife and me, he backed out at the last minute. This made my wife feel bad for me and she offered to come along. Little did I know but this was the best thing that could have happened for me.

Arriving at our newly constructed five star camps, I was amazed! As you will recall, my wife's biggest fear was of where we were going to sleep and " Do they have running water?" Pulling up to camp all we could say was " WOW!" The main lodge was gorgeous overlooking the waterhole from the porch and upper level library. Of course, my favorite view of the waterhole was from the fully stocked bar with all my favorite beverages! Strategically situated near the loading and unloading for after the hunt when you return to camp. The bedroom/chalet even closer still to the waterhole with its own private shower and bath along with decorative tile floors and traditional ceiling fans and thatch roof. I can remember a conversation with my wife when we went to bed with a fresh decanter of ice water for the first night. We were both a little in shock as to how nice the accommodations were!

We were awakened the first morning with hot coffee, with sugar and cream as I like it, and an orange juice for Jennifer as she had requested. Thomas the cook (and our morning alarm) made this a ritual throughout the trip. Boy, did he spoil us! He was polite and friendly whenever he was around - and frankly, he was a pleasure! After a hearty breakfast, we were off for the first day's hunt.

Like the entire hunt, that first day was unbelievable. First morning, and I harvested what I am told is one of the hardest animals to get. A Cape Eland. The animal was a magnificent trophy and huge! Etienne, our professional hunter, indicated that it would score very high in the record books. Once the animal was down, the staff took excellent care of it, as they did with every animal we harvested. They positioned the animal to take best advantage of the sun for lighting purposes for pictures and video. They would then clean the animal and remove any spore. They would also get rid of any grasses, weeds and branches that may have gotten in the way of the photo. This was the process whenever an animal was harvested and contributed to a wonderful photo album and video of our trip. I thought it rather funny how we would be set up in the shade with a beverage as the animal was prepared for pictures. Your staff treated us like royalty. The game was abundant and I was successful in taking numerous trophy class animals to include Cape Eland, Kudu, Red Hartebeest, Black and Blue Wildebeest, Duiker, Hartmann and Burchell Zebra. I have never been to Africa but a friend of mine went shortly after we did and, although he had a great hunt, the trophies were not near the quality of those I harvested with you.

I know I touched on this earlier but the entire staff was wonderful. PH Etienne Langeveldt was a wealth of information and was always willing to teach us about the animals and the country. He was hard working and I think we developed a good friendship over the days we spent together. I look forward to hunting with him again in the future. The cleaning staff did a wonderful job, washing and ironing our clothes on a daily basis, what a treat. I must also add a special mention about your wife and secretary who accompanied Jennifer on a tour of Etosha Game Reserve. She was able to see lions, Rhino, Zebras and numerous other animals. She had a wonderful time and had great company. One of the greatest nights, although they were all pretty good with conversation and great laughs, was when the girls returned from the park. Sitting around the campfire with Ron playing guitar and singing songs was a memory I will never forget.

I could go on forever, and as I write this I think of all the different memories that were made that week in the bush. What an awesome experience to have with my wife by my side. Keep doing everything the same and you will see us again soon. I have three boys and would love to bring them to your lodge.

Take care, my friend, I look forward to seeing you and Etienne in the States.

Dear Hunting enthusiast:

In June/July 2007 we had the pleasure of hunting with African Days in Namibia.

Having been to South Africa in prior years, we had heard about this ranch having some of the very best scoring Kudu and Gemsbok in all of Africa. Believe me, we were not let down. The ranch is enormous in size and you are able to hunt as hard as you desire. Not only did we see and take great Kudu and Gemsbok, but also the many other species are plentiful and mature.

The personnel attending the duties of the ranch are professional and very personable. Ranch accommodations are new and clean, making sleep very easy after a day in the bush. Our food was delicious and prepared in a variety of ways, making evening meals something to look forward to.

My wife and I plan to go back in the very near future and recommend this experience to everyone interested in Africa at its best.

To Whomever,

I had the great pleasure of hunting with Pieter Stofberg, owner of African Days and I also brought my 14-year-old son, Luke. I met Pieter at a SCI banquet and immediately found him to be informative and easy to talk to. Since I felt so comfortable with Pieter, I bid on and bought a hunt.

I had never traveled out of the country with firearms but had no complications. Pieter met us right at the airport in Windhoek and checked us through customs. I found the accommodations to be quite comfortable, clean and conveniently set up. Pieter and his staff went out of their way to make sure everything was " right". His staff was very friendly and his number one staff person, Thomas, got along very well with my son, even teaching him to speak some of his native language.

All of the vehicles and equipment used was in good working order and we had no delays or inconveniences throughout the entire hunt. Pieter also made the effort to introduce his son to mine since they were very close in age. This also gave me the opportunity to meet his wonderful wife. Laura and Andre were delightful and very friendly people.

We saw lots of game every day, to the extent that I would not be able to keep anything resembling an accurate count. Any game harvested was immediately retrieved and taken care of. In fact, as I write this letter I have received my trophies (1 year after the hunt) and they all look just excellent.

I can honestly say that my and my son's experience with Pieter and African Days was excellent and will always remain an experience of a lifetime. I hope that some day I will be able to return.

Dear Fellow Hunter,

Want a perfect hunt? Want no bugs? No snakes? No rain? Want tons of game, including record book animals?

Want a lodge to die for and food that is great? Want a very experienced staff of trackers and skinners? Well, you found it!!!

I took my wife and daughter on a hunt with Pieter Stofberg in September of 2003 and we had a fabulous time.

I took two record book trophies (Kudu and Gemsbok) and my daughter two (Springbok and Blesbok), as well as numerous other trophies.

I will never forget the evening my daughter brought " home" a big old male baboon.

Pieter is a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor. You simply can't do better than to hunt with him in the safest country in Africa.

Hunting regards,

To Potential African Days (Namibia) Clients,

We just returned (September, 2004) from an outstanding plains game safari with African Days (Namibia) in Namibia, Africa. The 10 day hunt was outstanding, taking a gold medal Eland, two gold medal Springbok, a new SCI #4 Blesbok, an outstanding Hartmann Zebra and a large male Ostrich. The Cape Eland was taken after a long stalk and great positioning by the PH.

Pieter Stofberg (owner), the PH Etienne Langeveldt and the trackers were all outstanding in every respect. The skill the PH and trackers exhibited during our safari still amazes me. Tracking the bull Eland when he separated from the herd on hard ground is truly a lost skill and we witnessed the best.

The entire African Days staff treats you like one of the family and is only matched by the quality of the accommodations. The accommodations are truly outstanding and 4 star. A wake up call with coffee each morning starts the day off with resounding energy. I have hunted around the world and this is one of the best organizations. Our meeting place each day after the hunt was first at the bar to swap " stories" and enjoyed new friends and then to the campfire for more intense discussion.

The staff works very hard to position you for success with your selected trophies, and will go to any reasonable end to ensure success. The option to change camps for selected trophies, in my mind, is outstanding. This surely ups your odds for top rate trophies in varying species.

Many trophies were sighted during the Safari and many species were available to us as we focused on truly trophy animals in our quest. The equipment was in very good repair and never let us down. The handling of your trophies is first rate. They even have a selected high security room for salting, brine bath and trophy management.

I highly recommend African Daysas an outstanding Safari company as you try to make decisions about who to hunt with in Africa. We made life-long friends during our visit and definitely plan to return to visit with old friends and once again view the fire-red sunset over the beautiful Namibian landscape.
