Gordon Marsh
Fellow Sportsmen,
I was over in Namibia recently on a hunt with African Days. Things went well and we had some time left over, so Pieter Stofberg, owner of African Days suggested a quick trip down to the coast for a few days of fishing.
A great decision! We met up with Renier de Villiers, who runs Rock & Surf Angling, a member of the African Days Group. From the outset, it was clear that Renier knew what he about. Not only were we extremely well looked after (from perfectly prepared fishing gear and vehicles to special shopping trips for the wives), Renier went out of his way to arrange a special birthday party for Jeff, my hunting and fishing buddy.
Accommodations were perfect - the meals were great.
I have no hesitation in recommending African Days (Fishing) as your outfitter to a GREAT fishing trip.

Pieter Stofberg
Dear Prospective African Angler,
When we at African Days first started playing with the idea of adding fishing trips as one of our products to offer our clients, I personally took it upon myself to do the research. No hardship as I have been an avid fisherman all my life. Some of my best memories of times with my father involves getting up at the most ungodly of hours and going fishing with him.
It very quickly became clear that of the various fishing guides we were considering, Renier de Villiers was the one known far and wide as the best of them all. So I set up a meet with Renier and asked him to take me fishing. I am fifty years old and have been fishing all my life - I thought I knew a thing or two about the ocean up and down our coast! Next to this guy I am nothing other than a pretender!!
It was almost magical to watch Renier read the water, pick a spot, get everything set and then, effortlessly, sling an 8 ounce weight a couple of hundred yards into the breakers. Wasn't long before I was fighting a pretty good sized Kob, either! I was sold.
I now have absolutely no hesitation in urgeing you: You have to experience this!! Check out the information on this site and contact us - as the slogan says - It should really be illegal to have this much fun!!
Hoping to hear from you soon,
Pieter Stofberg

To All Who Loves To Fish,
Talk to Pieter Stofberg at African Days. Let him make the arrangements to get you over to Henties Bay in Namibia, for the trip of your life!!!
My good friend and hunting buddy, Gordon Marsh, convinced me to accompany him on a hunt with African Days. The hunt part of it was unbelieveable and I was kind of sceptical when everybody decided to pack up and move down to the coast for some fishing. The four of us (our wives accompanied us on the trip) were met by Renier de Villiers and his wife.
We were put up in rooms every bit as good as the ones we had in hunt camp - by which I mean 5 star all the way. And then we went fishing......
I had so much fun I still have a hard time believing it. Hooked up to several BIG fish - some of which I managed to land!! WHAT A TRIP!!
If you have a fish in your heart - get over to Namibia for the best of the best.

To Fellow Anglers,
I have been using Renier De Villiers as a fishing guide since 2001. Having been a competitative angler for many years in South Africa, my expectations of a guide are extremely high, especially with regards to water reading.
Now having fished with Renier not only as a Guide but as a friend, I would undoubtedly say that there is no other angler who could teach Renier about this vast extent of Namibia's coastal waters. He is always prepared to go the extra mile to find the fish when conditions become difficult due to bad weather. If you listen to him and work as a team you would have an opportunity of catching fish of a lifetime from the surf zone.
Renier'operation "FEAR NO SHARK" is highly recommended to any person wanting to experience a fishing holiday of a lifetime.
