Wildernis Ranch, owned and run by Hansie Opperman, is a vast tract of land, situated to the east of Etosha National Park near the town of Grootfontein. Hansie is the third generation of Oppermans to own this hunting paradise and is in the process of developing Wildernis (Wilderness) into one of the foremost hunting ranches in Namibia.
Hans runs the place with the help of his mum, Ria, who will be the person making sure you go home heavier than you arrived. her traditional South African dishes is the talk of all who has had the privilege to visit here.
Plus/minus 40 000 acres of prime African hunting land - given over to the naturally occurring species to be found here. Hansie knows this land like he does his own face - he was born here and has never left. Hunting with him is to experience this piece of Africa through the eyes of someone who loves it and cares for it.
