Getting your dates sorted out:
This is going to depend very much on what you want to shoot. Once you have a wishlist, we will be able to advise
you on the time you will need.
Keep in mind that the wishlist you set now is not final. It simply serves to give us the information to properly
plan your hunt.
Once you get to Namibia, your hunt permit will have two of every specie on it (with the exception of specially
protected game like Leopard, Klipspringer, Dik-Dik, etc.) so you will be free to chop and change as you go along.
To be blunt about it - the only limiting factor will be your budget!
Determining the length of your hunt:
With the number of animals balanced with your budget, we will be able to figure out how many days you will need.
We will also take special requests like sight seeing or shopping trips in consideration. As a rule, we look at one
and a half days per animal on the wishlist to figure out the number of days.
So, say for instance you have four animals on your wishlist, we are going to advise a minimum of six hunting days.
Your arrival and departure days are extra to this, so with four animals on your list you are looking at
spending eight days in country.
Setting the dates:
Because we now know the length of time we need, it will be fairly easy to set your dates. You should determine
two or three different date sets that will suit you as we do not always have your number one choice available.
Most Important:
It is essential that you involve us from step one. Form an idea of what you want to shoot and contact us. We will
then guide you through the process step by step. Don't get all bothered about the finer details at this junction.
The only pressure right now is to get your dates blocked out. Once that is done, we will have months (if not years)
to sort out details such as what clothes to wear, what shots you need, etc.
Money:
Round about here we will ask you to send us a deposit. This deposit will serve two purposes: One - it will lock in
the dates we finally arrive at and: Two - it will lock down the prices you have been figuring on. Many of you will
be booking as far as three years out, so this is an important consideration. The deposit will ensure the information
you are dealing with remains the same.
The amount of the deposit and how to get it to us is dealt with in detail under our FAQs page.
Booking your flights:
Flights can normally be booked as far as eleven months in advance. Go to our Travel Agent page for information
on who to contact to book your flights.
