19 July, 2007 Mr. Renier de Villiers I have been to Namibia a couple of times, and I was always one that believed one can fish that coastline without the knowledge of a local guide. I fished for 7 years provincially and I am no stranger to fishing, so I thought! Well, Renier you proved me wrong. Not only was your reading of the situation, spot on, when the fish started coming out, but when the fish went off the bite your decision to move to places that I did not even know existed, produced fish. Whilst others at the end of the day went home with only a couple of fish, we went back with full bag limits. Being a competitive angler, one tends to be more demanding. You my friend lived up to that expectation. Not only did we keep you up till late, looking for the fish, but also the next morning you were up early to get the team moving so that we could find that shoal of fish. One only realizes how little we know about that coastline, until we have spent some time with you fishing. It is interesting to see how you assess the situation that you are dealt with on an ongoing basis, and then make the correct decision, every time! Thank-you for an outstanding fishing trip, which will not easily be forgotten. I know today, that I will not set foot on that coastline, without using you as my guide. Money well worth spent! Sincerely,
